Bariatric Surgeon in Denton, TX
|
Dr. Folahan Ayoola is a fellowship trained minimally invasive general and bariatric surgeon. He received his fellowship training at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia (VCUHS). Prior to entering his fellowship, at the conclusion of his residency training, he was named Chief Resident of the Year by his peers at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health – a tribute to his excellent skill, compassionate bedside manner, and leadership style. As he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Houston and graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Southwestwern Medical School right here in Dallas, it was only natural for him to return to the Dallas area to start his practice. Dr. Ayoola is dedicated to patient care and believes that the best results are achieved when the physician and patient work together as a team. His special areas of interest include weight loss surgery, gastrointestinal surgery of all types including cancer of the intestinal tract, hernia repair, biliary surgery such as gallbladder removal, surgical treatment for acid reflux disease, and endoscopy. He is highly skilled at laparoscopic surgical techniques and prefers to take a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. He has successfully operated on patients that did not think a laparoscopic or minimally invasive approach could be performed on them due to previous surgery. While Dr. Ayoola tries to accommodate patient’s wishes, please keep in mind that minimally invasive surgery is not an option for all patients. Personal interests include music, sports (Go Mavs!), and theater. He comes from a large family and loves spending time with all of them. He is married to his high school sweetheart and is currently trying to keep up with his two young boys! To schedule a consult, request an appointment online or call 940-382-9429. |
